Our bariatric surgeon, Dr. Simon Chow, MD, MSc, FRCSC, FACS is among the foremost leaders in private bariatric surgery in Canada in terms of years of experience and the number of cases performed to date. We also have a very experienced team, including a bariatric dietitian who has been practicing in the field since 2015. Nutrition education and counseling are of utmost importance to successful long term outcomes. Our dietitian will walk you through every step of your nutrition and dietary changes before and after your surgery in our Nutrition Aftercare program.
Safety
Our access to a fully accredited private hospital, Centre Métropolitain de Chirurgie (CMC), which has been licensed by the Health Ministry since 1973, allows us to admit patients to the hospital after surgery for the careful observation required for safe surgery. In the private sector, we are in full control of our practice and can choose the best technology, the most effective medications and most current surgical instrumentation. We are not limited to one bariatric procedure; our surgeons are free to discuss with our patients the operation that best fits their risk profile and long-term weight loss goals.
Our surgeons perform the surgery (no trainees) and respond to all emergencies in the hospital. In addition, our team is made available for any questions and emergencies during and after business hours. We have operated on over 2000 patients at our private hospital since 2006 with an excellent record and long-term results. During a consultation, our surgeons will discuss with you your exact risk profile based on a large patient experience so you can make an informed decision about your care.

Availability (no wait list)
We provide evidence-based, state-of-the-art, surgical treatment options for severe life-threatening obesity for patients who wish to take control of their health and life! Patients can have their surgery within 4-6 weeks from the office consultation. This time is required for the proper preparation for safe bariatric surgery.

Weight Loss Surgery has partnered with Endovision Clinic to provide an improved pre-operative assessment and post-operative follow-up environment that patients require and deserve. This facility offers ample space, easy access and free valet underground parking in the adjacent building.
Our free valet parking with Mathola Parking is situated at 5700 Ch. de la Côte-des-Neiges, however, please note that the entrance is actually on Cote-Sainte-Catherine situated beside the Tim Hortons. You will obtain a ticket which must be validated by our receptionist before returning to your vehicle to obtain free parking.
